Communal Aerial Systems

Communal aerial systems provide a number of dwellings with TV signals from one aerial or set of aerials.  In the UK, about 3 million households receive their television signals (satellite or terrestrial) via communal aerial systems.  Many of these systems are quite old, up to 30 years, and are unable to carry digital television signals.

With switch-over to exclusively digital transmission already under way and due to complete by 2012, Social and Private Landlords have a major task ahead of them to convert systems for digital (to find out when your area switches over, click here).

Mandercom specialises in providing advice and assistance with converting communal aerial systems to receive digital television.  Mandercom is independent of broadcasters, installation companies and equipment manufacturers.

Important advice

There is already clear evidence of good installation contractors becoming increasingly busy.  We predict that both prices and lead times will increase.  Therefore, if you have properties that need attention,
